Magenta's Voyager named AV Award Finalist for "Digital Signage Project of the Year"
Posted on Wednesday, August 28, 2013
Erlanger, KY , August 28, 2013— tvONE (www.tvone.com), a leading designer and manufacturer of cutting-edge video and multimedia processing equipment, is pleased to announce that Magenta's Voyager is among the Top Finalist in this year's AV Awards.

Chosen among the best in the Digital Signal project of the year category, the Voyager VG-Matrix 160 is a unique fiber-optic based matrix switch because of its considerable headroom. The Voyager switching solutions can achieve a whopping 3,000 total ports and the ability to configure any single port on Voyager's 8-port I/O cards as an input or an output. Such options grant system integrators plenty of room for future application growth while providing a fully flexible system that can extend, distribute and switch digital (with HDCP) and analog video, audio and serial to distances of 18.6 miles.

Typical digital video switches feature some delay when switching between sources, especially those with HDCP. Voyager matrix switchers can switch between all types of source content at extremely high speeds. A YouTube video demonstration of Voyager's fast switching capabilities is available here: http://youtu.be/Skl46pqSOggg.

The judging panel for this award consists of senior representatives from user companies and key industry players who were brought in to judge the entries independently. The AV Awards is managed by the UK based AV Magazine and is considered to be one of the most prestigious awards in the AV industry.

The winners will be announced formally at the AV Awards gala held on Friday, October 11th at the Hilton on Park Lane in London, UK.
