TV One's New Universal-Input Seamless Switcher with 3 Scaling Engines Make Their Debut at ISE 2011

Erlanger, KY , January 24, 2011—TV One will debut their new C2-8000 Series at the ISE Exhibition held in Amsterdam on February 1-3, 2011. This new range of dual channel processors has universal inputs and 3 internal scaling engines. Using TV One's exclusive CORIO®2 Technology, these smart units provide bi-directional conversion of up to 12 inputs of digital and/or analog video and also includes features such as seamless switching, dual picture-in-picture windowing, chroma and luma keying, logo insertion, Tri/Bi-level sync Genlock input, scalable background and more.

The C2-8000 Series features multiple DVI-U input modules that accept DVI, RGB, Composite Video, S-Video, YUV and YPbPr Component Video. 3G-SDI input and output modules that also support HD-SDI and SD-SDI can also be factory fitted if required as well as audio in and out. The two high resolution DVI-U outputs are selectable as virtually any PC or HDTV resolution. The available SDI modules also add two SD/HD/3G-SDI output options to this list. PAL, NTSC and SECAM standards are all supported and TV One's exclusive AutoSet feature takes the hassle out of setup by automatically sizing and positioning the computer image to fit exactly on the video screen.

The switcher mode permits seamless cut, cross-fade, push or wipe transitions between input sources while the dual picture-in-picture function allows for two windows of any size and position to appear together on a single output image. The independent mode of the unit allows for two channels of simultaneous video conversion. All modes can accommodate background sources, which can now be scaled using the third internal processing engine, exclusive to the C2-8000 Series.

An included key feature allows an image to be keyed over another and faded in and out and due to the 4:4:4 processing format, precise keying at pixel level can be achieved. The Genlock reference input is SD and HD compatible and ensures precise synchronization of the incoming signals by providing a wide Subcarrier lock range with Subcarrier phase adjust. The units also provide integral audio switching to route audio from the (HDMI-compatible) DVI-U or SDI input to the DVI-U and SDI outputs. An optional audio module can provide AES in and out abilities as well as audio delay and can link to TV One's range of A2-7300 audio breakout units.

Variable Zoom to 10X enlarges any part of an input image to fill the entire screen and position controls allow movement to any area desired. Variable shrink to as little as 10% is also available and allows fitting an image on to most displays. The advanced Digital Flicker Elimination circuitry and high sampling rate ensures crisp, clear images, while full bandwidth chroma sampling reproduces high-resolution colors. Temporal interpolation greatly improves frame rate conversion by analyzing and merging successive frames and the pixel level motion adaptive de-interlacing diagonal interpolation and noise reduction provides high-quality de-interlacing of PAL, NTSC and 1080i signals. The 3:2 pull-down also guarantees proper 24 fps film extraction from NTSC and 1080i sources.

The unit can be controlled via front-panel push buttons, RS-232/422/485, IP connection, Windows Control Panel software and most third party control systems. User defined presets are also available to customize settings for various applications and the non-volatile memory ensures that these settings are stored and retained even when power is switched off. An optional redundant power supply is also available with this range of products.

The new C2-8000 Series of Universal-Input, Dual-Channel Processors are part of the huge variety of product offerings from the CORIO®2 Technology range and will be on demonstration and display at the TV One booth # 3B88 throughout the entirety of the ISE 2011 Exhibition.
