New Infinea™ M-HDX delivers highly integrated AV signal extension system
Orlando, Florida, June 15, 2009 - Magenta Research, a recognized leader in video, audio and control signal distribution over structured cabling, is proud to introduce the Infinea™ M-HDX series, its latest signal extension product for commercial AV, digital signage and KVM applications.
Supporting an unprecedented number or signal types, the Infinea M-HDX Series is capable of simultaneously delivering uncompressed high-definition video, stereo audio, duplex serial and USB signals over 2000ft/609m of fiber optic cable.
Uncompressed digital video extension enables pixel-for-pixel reproduction of high definition HDMI signals with embedded audio at 1080p/60 resolution and single link DVI-D signals at 1900x1200 without the need for reduced blanking. The M-HDX’s native duplex serial support allows two-way communication with displays for control or for collection of display metrics, while the unique USB support enables a new wave of interactive digital signage applications by supporting extension of Human Input Devices (HIDs) such as keyboards, mice and touch screens.
“The bandwidth required for high performance digital video alone makes signal extension over such long distances challenging,” stated Magenta President Bob Michaels. “While most solutions available today use compression, encoding or multiple fibers, Magenta is leading the technology curve yet again by not only offering uncompressed hi-definition digital video on a single fiber, but also extending audio, duplex RS-232 and USB over the same link.”
The Infinea M-HDX is fully compatible with the newly announced Infinea Opto Matryx switch, enabling a complete end-to-end, uncompressed digital video, audio and control switching and distribution solution.
Infinea M-HDX will be on display in Magenta’s InfoComm booth #3961.
