New Panasonic 1080p HD Remote Head Camera System Brings New Business Opportunities Into Focus

Unique Configuration Extends Range Of Applications For HD Production.
 
ORLANDO, FL (June 17, 2009) – Panasonic System Solutions Company is demonstrating the new HD Remote Head Camera System here at InfoComm 2009. Featuring true 16x9 1080p High Definition performance, the GP-US932A HD camera delivers even higher quality images, with more production flexibility in a smaller configuration than previous models. The unit’s unique configuration is ideal for a wide range of production applications further extending the market potential for HD production.
 
“Our enhanced HD Remote Head Camera System’s superior imaging capabilities and small size make it ideal for a wide variety of broadcast, video production, medical and industrial applications,” said Jim Roselius, National Sales Manager, Vision Systems, Panasonic System Solutions Company.  “This new model incorporates upgrades that takes various applications into account and enables users to be even more creative in their applications.” For example, the system’s new 20 meter cable better facilitates specialty broadcasting applications such as reality TV or sporting events for Point-of-View (POV) HD applications.
 
New features on the GP-US932A HD Remote Head Camera system include: 1080p resolution, smaller camera head size decreased by 6mm, 6dB sensitivity improvement, HDMI output and optional 10 and 20 meter cables.
 
The new Panasonic GP-US932A Remote Head HD Camera System consists of the
GP-US932A 3CCD HD Camera Head mated to either the GP-US932CU Camera Control Unit (CCU) with HDMI output or GP-US932CUS with SDI and HDMI output. The HD camera head is selectable for 1080i, 1080p or 720p and features three 1/3"-type 16x9 high-sensitivity progressive sensors running at a full 60 frames per second.
 
The GP-US932A HD Remote Head System also features Panasonic’s industry-leading imaging technology, including Digital Signal Processing (DSP) that offers unprecedented accuracy with 14-bit A/D conversion and 19-bit inner processing. 
 
Additional features include 12-axis matrix control for superior life-like color accuracy with independent color control for optimal performance, as well as a unique dynamic range feature that expands contrast in dark areas while maintaining detail in bright areas of the picture. All features and settings are available via an easy to use on-screen menu.
