Aurora, OH: Network Technologies Inc (NTI) today announced the addition of the HDMI 2.0 EDID Emulator and the DisplayPort 1.2 EDID Emulator to its popular line of EDID Emulators. The emulators copy the EDID of the desired display and connect directly to the source to ensure that the EDID is not lost in connections between devices such as switches, splitters, and extenders.
The EDID Emulators are compact in size for easy installation and operation, feature LED indicators that provide signal status information, powered by the connected video source, and pre-programmed with many standard resolutions with native set to 1080p. Both models support Ultra-HD 4Kx2K resolutions to 3840x2160 @60Hz 4:4:4, 2560x1440p (WQHD), and HDTV resolutions to 1080p. The devices emulate a display (sink device) by providing Hot Plug Detect and EDID to the source device.
The HD4K-EDID-EMLTR supports HDMI 2.0, 12-bit Deep Color, RGB, YCC 4:4:4, YCC 4:2:2, Dolby, LPCM, DTS, bandwidth up to 18Gbps, CEC compatible devices, 3D, and HDR. The DP4K-EDID-EMLTR supports DisplayPort v1.2a, 10-bit Deep Color, RGB, YCC 4:4:4, YCC 4:2:2, LPCM, and bandwidth up to 5.4Gbps per channel (21.6Gbps total).
The emulators support learning and emulation modes. With learning mode, the display’s EDID is stored for later use. In emulation mode, it provides EDID to the source device from the emulator’s internal memory. The HD4K-EDID-EMLTR supports headless operation – no monitor attached to source. The emulators are ideal for resolving signal handshaking problems between a source and a display.
Available for immediate sale, the HD4K-EDID-EMLTR HDMI 2.0 EDID Emulator costs $42.00, and the DP4K-EDID-EMLTR DisplayPort 1.2 EDID Emulator costs $77.00.
