Jupiter Systems Announces Partnership Agreement with WinHi, Exclusive Dealer For Samsung Products in China

Agreement Pairs Samsung Narrow-Bezel LCD's with Jupiter's High Performance Display Wall Controllers Used in Command and Control Visualization

InfoComm China 2009  Beijing, China,– November 9, 2009 – Jupiter Systems, the industry leader in display wall technology, today announced an exclusive partnership with Winhi Technology, the sole distributor of Samsung Electronics Corporation surveillance products in China. Under the partnership agreement Jupiter’s high performance controllers will be bundled with Samsung’s narrow-bezel LCDs (liquid crystal display) for sale in everything from small 2 x 2 display walls used by local enterprise to very large installations (as large as 100 cubes or LCD displays), such as those found in airports, traffic control, power plants or security operations.

“We are delighted to announce this important agreement,” said Guomin Zhang, General Manager of Jupiter Systems China, the company’s wholly owned Chinese subsidiary.  “Jupiter supports many supplier partners of DLP (digital light processing projectors) and PDP (plasma display panels), and we believe that their new narrow-bezel LCDs from Samsung and sold by Winhi offer customers a very attractive display option.  Winhi is known for working with the best suppliers. We are honored that they have chosen Jupiter and believe that together we can provide the best, most cost-effective solution for our customers.”

As part of the arrangement, Winhi will also buy 10 Jupiter Fusion 964 Display Wall Processors, as well as Jupiter’s new PixelNet Distributed Display Wall Systems, to install in each of its sales offices in China. [see attached logo]

Some Background
Samsung Group is the largest corporation in Korea and the leading supplier to the video surveillance industry. It is the inventor of the narrow- bezel LCD, with only 2.4 mm (right and bottom) of the screen and 4.3 mm (left and top), allowing tiling of multiple units with only 7.3 mm between the live screen areas.. This narrow-bezel spacing between the multiple units of the displays provides an almost seamless video display wall.

Jupiter Systems is one of the largest suppliers of display wall controllers used in China with sales across industries including air, rail, port and highway traffic management, water, power, public security, mining, telecommunications, broadcast, finance and enterprise markets.  Its processors are used in some of the country’s largest, most important installations, such as the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau (a wall comprised of 56 individual displays, originally serving as the Security Command Centre for the 2008 Summer Olympics) and the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau (a large display wall of 16 x 7 or 112 displays built originally for the 2008 Summer Olympics), as well as a great many smaller projects used by local business.  Jupiter was an earlier investor in China and among the first in the industry to set up manufacturing in the country and a wholly-owned subsidiary.
