Tech Specs

Clarus XC 220 3D screens use Harkness’ brand new 4th generation screen technology to provide a wide viewing angle, greater uniformity, improved colour and contrast both in 2D and polarised 3D. It is designed for use in all cinema auditoria where 3D systems using polarised light are deployed. Whilst designed for 3D, the surface type also supports conventional 2D pictures giving a viewing experience similar to that of a conventional white screen. D-smooth coating technology applied to the unique base material provides a visibly smoother surface finish and deeper visual perspective to 3D content. Our proprietary and unique seam welding process ensures our screens have no visible seams under projection conditions. Screens are available in either perforated or non-perforated forms depending on speaker placement. Clarus XC 220 cannot be folded and must be rolled for transportation.
Acoustic Performance: Screens are perforated to facilitate the acoustic performance of behind-screen speakers. For most cinema auditoria, standard perf pattern is used. For close viewing (less than 5m/16ft), mini-perf pattern is recommended. Non-perforated screens are available for use when there are no speakers situated behind the screen.
