NEW FEATURES MAKE BRETFORD’S RHOMBII TRAINING TABLES MORE DEPENDABLE
Posted on Monday, June 15, 2009

CHICAGO – June 15, 2009 – Bretford Manufacturing, Inc. today announced that its RHOMBII™ line of reconfigurable training tables is now available with a host of new features that help educators and business professionals make the most of their learning, meeting and training environments. With new four-leg and glide additions, a no-added urea formaldehyde (NAUF) core special option, PVC-free edges and a new “table stable” stacking system, RHOMBII tables are built to adapt to the needs of any space. These latest RHOMBII features are being shown for the first time in the Bretford Showroom (#330) during the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair 2009, June 15–17, at Merchandise Mart Chicago.

“Tables are a fundamental part of a room—they can make or break the success of a meeting, training session or collaborative gathering. But time and energy are rarely focused on the functionality of the tables,” explained Tad Petrick, director of marketing and product development for Bretford Manufacturing, Inc. “Since they began shipping earlier this year, our customers have been thrilled with the adaptability of the RHOMBII tables. The new features were incorporated to make them even more dependable and to create a healthier environment for those who use them.”

Perfect for both traditional and contemporary settings, the RHOMBII training tables are universal in nature. With optional built-in power sources, easy mobility and the ability to nest tightly when stored, the RHOMBII training tables offer hundreds of set-up combinations. They can be reconfigured in just the right way to suit the space, and then can be easily folded and stored out of the way or moved into other locations within a facility.

Table Configurations: The Sky’s the Limit The RHOMBII tables are now available in a new four-leg design with new glides or the existing 2.5-inch casters with brakes. The RHOMBII standard T-base design can also be ordered with glides or casters for limitless configurations. The tables come with flip rectangle tops in widths of 42"–72" and depths of 24"–30", making them adaptable to any room size or style. They also come in 6"-wide increments for more flexibility in odd-sized rooms.

Environmentally Conscious To help improve air quality, all the RHOMBII tables have PVC-free edges, and the flip-top models may be specially ordered with a NAUF core. In addition, RHOMBII components are recyclable and are produced using recycled materials. They are made from extruded and casted lightweight aluminum and finished in durable powder paint, so they can withstand years of wear and tear from people and the environment. Moreover, the RHOMBII tables with laminate tops are GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Certified® by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute and can help bring two LEED points to a building project.

Power Up The optional soft wire Byrne Interlink® Power System allows up to eight RHOMBII tables to be daisy-chained together and receive power from a standard wall outlet. This gives users the ability to plug laptops and other technology equipment directly into the tables. The power system stays with the tables, protected in the fold-up modesty panel. Since the Interlink Power System must connect in sequence, Bretford now offers a “table stable” number labeling system, which allows those who set-up to the tables to easily configure them in succession. The labels attach to the bottom of each RHOMBII table and are visible when the table is flipped for storage. The tables can then be stored in the proper order.

Availability RHOMBII tables with the new four-leg and glide additions, PVC-free edges and NAUF core special option, and table stacking system are available exclusively through Herman Miller North American dealerships. Orders can be placed starting July 1, 2009. For more information about technology and media furniture solutions from Bretford, please call 1-800-521-9614 or go to www.bretford.com.
