AUTOCUE GLIDE FLIES FOR FIRST TIME AT IBC 2010

LONDON, IBC Stand 11.F50 – Autocue, the home of QTV teleprompters, will showcase the Glide, its first ever camera stabiliser, at IBC 2010.

The Glide is a professional, handheld camera flyer, manufactured and designed by Autocue. It is ideal for all DSLR and DV cameras weighing from 450g to 2.7kgs (1 to 6lbs), and is very competitively priced at just $749.

The Glide uses precision engineering and machined parts to create a high quality finish and ensure flawless balance of the camera. For comfort during use, the handle has a high quality foam grip and can be docked on a tripod plate. To aid portability, the whole unit folds up flat, for storage in its small carry case.

The Glide has already generated significant interest across the broadcast industry. As CEO Frank Hyman explains, “We believe the Glide is the highest quality product on the market. At NAB 2010, we tested a prototype with every cameraman that visited the stand – the feedback versus established brands in this area was consistently and overwhelmingly positive.”

The introduction of the Glide forms part of a new strategy by Autocue to extend its reach across the broadcast sector and build on its extensive experience and design expertise. Frank Hyman continued, “It demonstrates the true breadth of our broadcast knowledge, design and development capability accrued over the last 50 years.”

The Glide will start shipping to customers in October 2010. For further information, or to try out the Glide, please contact sales@qtv.com or visit Autocue on IBC stand 11.F50.
