Ingram Micro opens new Experience Center in Buffalo, New York showcasing Cisco’s latest technology solutions powered and supported by multiple APC power and cooling products

Buffalo, NY — APC by Schneider Electric, a global leader in integrated critical power and cooling services, today announced its inclusion as the only power vendor in the Ingram Micro Experience Center opening adjacent to the distributor’s East Coast Solution Center. The new 1,000 square foot Ingram Micro Experience Center features multiple APC power solutions which are employed throughout to support the Center’s showcase of the complete portfolio of Cisco Data Center, Borderless Network and Collaboration products.

APC has developed a reference solution that includes the appropriate rack, power distribution, and cabling architecture to support the Cisco® Unified Computing System (UCS) 5108 Blade Chassis in high density data center applications. Additionally, APC’s NetShelter® SX wide cabinets have been validated for use with the Cisco® Nexus 7010 & 7018 Series Switches. APC’s solutions for the Nexus family of data center switches on display at the Ingram Solution Center will make specifying and installing Cisco Data Center 3.0 technologies for cloud environments quick and easy, enabling a reduction in floor space and increased data center capacity.

"APC by Schneider Electric is pleased to support the new Ingram Micro Experience Center in Buffalo, New York. This new technology showcase and demonstration facility will give our mutual customers and partners the opportunity to see our solutions in action in a high density cloud computing environment," said Alistair Pim, Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances, APC by Schneider Electric. "Cisco's move toward modular, scalable and automated designs is consistent with APC's high density data center physical infrastructure architecture which reduces total cost of ownership and adds scalability and efficiency to data center operations.”

Ingram Micro’s East and West Coast Solution Centers contain more than $15 million in state-of-the-art equipment and solutions. Both centers are staffed by certified engineers and can accommodate a multitude of seminars and training workshops.

"For nearly a decade, Ingram Micro’s Solution Centers have enabled channel partners with the training, education and technical sales resources required to build their expertise, specialize their practice and grow their business faster and more efficiently than they could do on their own," says Anne Wilcox, Vice President, customer and solutions marketing, Ingram Micro U.S. “The new Experience Center is a great example of the continued investment Ingram Micro and its vendor partners like Cisco and APC continue to make to help ensure the success of their mutual channel partners.”
