Tripp Lite Offers HDMI Cables for Viewing 4K Content on HDR Displays

New Cables Meet HDMI 2.0a or 2.0b Standards

Chicago, IL (May 29, 2019)—Tripp Lite, a global manufacturer of power protection and connectivity solutions, now offers HDMI cables that support viewing of 4K content from laptops, Blu-ray players, streaming boxes and other video sources on high dynamic range (HDR) displays. The new cables broaden Tripp Lite's already robust offering of audio/video infrastructure products.

In 4K video installations, every component needs to meet or exceed HDMI 2.0 standards to ensure support for video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 60 Hz and high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP 2.2). Tripp Lite's new HDMI 2.0a cables and HDMI 2.0b extension cables go beyond HDMI 2.0 to support 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for excellent brightness and brilliant color on HDR displays.

Cables in 3- to 20-foot lengths have specially designed gripping connectors to help ensure components stay firmly attached to avoid viewing interruptions. With greater port retention than typical HDMI connectors, the gripping connectors resist vibrations that can loosen connections over time. This is especially helpful for ensuring components stay connected in difficult-to-access installations.

"HDMI is the standard for most home theater components and digital signage equipment," said David Posner, Director of Product Marketing, Connectivity. "By offering a broad selection of HDMI cables that meet the latest standards, Tripp Lite helps customers build flexible, future-proof infrastructures for their A/V applications."

Key Features of Tripp Lite's new 4K HDMI Cables with HDR Support
